CMS - Content Management Systems
Many clients ask if they can update the content on their websites themselves. This is of course possible, BUT, the potential for disaster is ever present. We will happily perform updates to client sites for a very reasonable fee, just send us an email or call us and we will update your site and fix it if we break it! If on the other hand you update your own site and you damage the structure (not that you would obviously!), the costs of repair may be heavy.
All Content Management Systems (CMS) involve a learning curve, it would probably make more sense investing in an HTML editor and learning how to use that if you really wanted to perform your own site updates.
We will if requested add 'editable' and locked regions to your site for updating with the Adobe Contribute 3 CMS package and provide you with an access key. We don't like any other CMS applications. You will then be able to edit certain regions of the website. Main menu navigation areas and security controlled pages like 'Contact Us' would be uneditable.
Adobe Contribute 3 is available for about £100 from software retailers.
